Obviously CORONA has delayed things a bit but surprisingly things seem to keep moving forward in regards to medical marijuana in Thailand.

That said, there are at least two clinics in Bangkok that accept foreigners as patients. Unfortunately the medicine is astronomically priced.

The rest of the clinics are focused on Thai patients via the government medical insurance program.

I went to the government clinic at the Ministry of Public Health in Nonthaburi and asked if I could be seen there and was told that due to the limited amount of medicine, they were not accepting any foreigners as patients.

The biggest problems at the moment is growing enough product and a great deal of confusion about the process. The government seems to be licensing only a small number of growers (mostly universities) who then have to sell to a small number of extraction labs who make approved products.

There are currently multiple proposals in front of parliament to expand growing but I would be surprised if they went to a vote in 2020.

Yesterday I tried to buy some weed from guys, who placed their ads in the Intrnet (whatsapp, email, etc).

I spent 1000 baht but got nothing) first they set minimum amount about $250, after that they try to get at least something from you and they switch off the phone just after you send them money in bitcoins

Actually, I think, all “whatsapp/email-pushers” are thieves and extortionists. They get money from you, threw their phones and buy new sim-cards. That’s why they set the minimum order amount

Pai has a dark, sordid history. It used to be an opium central ruled by a Burmese drug lord, and was only made safe enough for tourists during the 80’s. Several thousand people died in an open-season drug war where the government gave permission for the police to shoot anyone accused of using or selling drugs, even without evidence.

Because of this, it’s not uncommon to see signs around the city banning public marijuana and drug use, and the cops may be on to you. I assume that because Sunset Bar is such an established spot for drug use that the owners may be paying the cops off, but in other countries (ESPECIALLY Thailand) it’s always best to try to be as discreet as possible.

Thailand should join with other countries and KICK OUT THE D.E.A. The war on marijuana is a farce and failed attempt by the Authoritarians to establish puppet police states.
Just spent a week in Pattaya with my Girlfriend and Greenie came through in a huge way with some great buds and Meds. This is the way to get your needs filled with no stress, good prices and great bud. I was nervous like all...I'm sure, but after the 30 seconds delivery was done there was nothing to do but enjoy. Just e-mail Greenie ( haha420kush at Gmail com ) and he will give specific detail on how to handle everything and everything goes smooth.

Cannabis is NOT addictive. Where did you get that idea? To make it available "on doctor's prescription" is not good enough either, because the doctors and Big Pharma work hand in glove. In the entire state of Queensland in Australia, only one cancer patient has been given access to medical cannabis with a doctor's prescription. ONE patient! And the conditions they lay down are forbidding. For instance, they demand proof that "all other treatments" have been tried. In Australia, you would have to search far and wide to find a doctor willing to issue a prescription for medical cannabis. But many cancer patients, including one in my own family, do not want to undergo radiation and chemo because of their devastating and eventually fatal side-effects. The patient should be the one to decide which treatment to take, not the medical-pharmaceutical mafia, which is mainly interesting in treating, not curing, and, in so doing, making heaps of money for themselves. All that said, it is good that Thailand has taken some steps forward which may benefit patients who want to use one of God's natural gifts to help alleviate their discomfort and restore their health.
